RESEARCH
Our primary goal is to understand molecular mechanisms of natural and synthetic enzymes that perform various types of chemical modifications on nucleic acids to engineer safer gene therapies.
Our secondary goal is to translate the developed genome editing approaches into treatments for ocular diseases.
